CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - WBTV Morning Anchor Christine Nelson and her husband, William, are the proud parents of a brand new baby boy.

William III, was born on Tuesday, April 12, at a Charlotte-area hospital. He weighs 2 pounds-11 ounces, and is 14-½ inches long.

William's birth came much sooner than anyone expected. He was due to arrive in July.

After anchoring WBTV News This Morning with co-anchor John Carter, Nelson immediately went to her physician and, within hours, had given birth to her son.

So far, everyone is doing well.

Just last week, WBTV Anchor Molly Grantham gave birth to her daughter, Parker. Click to read story.
