CALLOWAY CO., KY (WFIE) - 14 News has learned that 24-year-old Brandon McManomy is now in jail in Kentucky.

McManomy is charged with raping a Murray State University student.

Officials tell us after facing charges in Calloway County, McManomy will be brought back to Posey County to face charges of slashing a deputy in the face.  Earlier this month, Indiana State Police say he stabbed himself in the throat prior to attacking a Posey County deputy who was attempting to serve the warrant on the rape charge.

McManomy was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail last week after being released from the hospital.
