Your 14 First Alert mobile forecast for Monday

Posted: Updated:
Sultry air is hanging over the Tri-State, and will provide the fuel for some strong thunderstorms and heavy rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday.  At the moment, a slow-moving cold front is to our west and has been the focus of severe weather in the plains over the weekend. Only a few isolated showers and non-severe t-storms will fire this evening.   As this system moves east on Tuesday, we'll see scattered showers and more organized thunderstorms by afternoon and evening through early Wednesday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has the Tri-State in a slight risk for severe on Tuesday.  All the stormy weather exits the region by Wednesday afternoon.  Temperatures will ease into the lower 70's for the remainder of the week.

BE ALERT:  SEVERE WEATHER LIKELY TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING
