Good news in Perry. INDOT officials have reopened a couple of roads that were shut down due to high water. State Road 66 from State Road 62 in Sulphur to State Road 70 in Derby, and State Road 66 from State Road 70 in Derby to State Road 166 in Rocky Point are both open.
If your commute takes you down Waterworks Road in Vanderburgh County, you'll still need to find an alternate route. Waterworks is closed due to high water from Veterans Memorial Parkway to Highway 41. Also South Weinbach is closed from the Levee to Waterworks.
A couple of roads are closed in Henderson County due to high water. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a small portion of Kentucky 3522 is closed, and 5 miles of Kentucky 136 from the zero to five mile marker.
Kansas Road in northern Vanderburgh County is closed between State Road 57 and Hedden Park Drive. This is for construction on the Evansville Regional Airport Runway Project. During this closure, drivers going to Hedden Industrial Park will need to use the newly constructed Oak Hill Road. Traffic traveling west on Kansas from Green River Road will be able to access Hedden Industrial Park to the north and the newly constructed Oak Hill Road to the south. This closure is expected to continue for the next 60 days.
