EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Two men were arrested after a meth-lab explosion fire at a home on Evansville's east side.

The EPD says Thomas McKnight and Michael McCraw were both arrested on Saturday afternoon for criminal recklessness and dealing methamphetamine.

Firefighters say by the time they arrived, the 318 East Virginia home was completely engulfed in flames.

Evansville Fire District Chief Bob Alexander says McKnight and McCraw were both out of the home when they arrived.

"There was a lot of damage in the house. It was an older house, it had bloom construction, and the fire was in the walls, and all up in the attic."

EPD's narcotics unit is still investigating.
