OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - Kentucky Wesleyan College is building a fit trail on their campus.

It's all thanks to a $15,000 community grant from Owensboro Medical Health Systems.

KWC has built five health stations, and they have 15 more to build.

It's for the benefit of anyone, not just college students.

Visiting KWC Professor Dr. Jason Crandall says, "It's a series of stations set up around campus. It's a mile in length. At each station there's very simple exercises that you can do to work on cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, strength and endurance."

Crandall says it's all free of charge.

The new fitness trial is being entered in a National Fitness contest called Exercise is Medicine.

The winner will be titled the most creative, sustainable collegiate program in the country.
