Early Intervention - First Steps

The Early Intervention Program works with infants and toddlers under the age of 3 with developmental disabilities or children who may be at risk of developmental delays. Services include Physical, Occupational, Speech and Developmental Therapies. Services are designed to minimize or eliminate delays leading to lifelong disability.

The first three years of a child's life seriously impact his/her ability for emotional, social and academic success. The major development of the brain happens within these critical years. If this is true for all children, then how much more important is it for a child with developmental disabilities and delays to have the opportunity for services in these critical months?

The caring employees at the Child Life Center can provide the needed therapies to help your children enhance their growth and development. If your child is enrolled at our Child Life Center, he or she can receive the many therapies provided by our Early Intervention Program. Our developmental specialists can also come to your home to provide the necessary services. For more information contact Debbie Gilham at 428-5433.
