MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - The Kentucky State Police Post in Madisonville is requesting the public's assistance with locating the owner of a company they say promised to build a garage for a family in the area but then disappeared.

Wanted for Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition, a class D felony, is 45-year-old Jeffrey T. Helsley, whose last known address was in Evansville.

On November 30, 2009, the victims contacted KSP and advised that they had a contract with Helsley, the owner of HCI Garages, to build a garage at their residence.  Troopers say the victims paid Helsley $9,632 but never started the job.

The victims last heard from Helsley on November 19, 2009.  All attempts to locate Mr. Helsley since that time have been unsuccessful.  He is currently listed as wanted.  He's 6'2, 270 pounds.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville at 1-270-676-3313 or toll-free in Kentucky at 1-800-222-5555.
