911 Dispatcher

The City of Evansville is accepting applications for present and future openings for the position of Telecommunicator.

 

Qualifications

High school gradute or GED; computet/Windows knowledge;able to work all 3 shifts plus overtime,weekends,and holidays; pass criminal history/background checks; submit to fingerprinting, polygraph/voice stress analysis, medical, psychological, and drug testing; pass job-related test; ability to multitask; bilingual and / or previous volunteer work at Central Dispatch a plus.

 

Duties

Receives emergency 911 calls, general information calls, and radio request for police, fire, and ambulance service; priorotizes complaints and dispatches appropriate agencies and equipment; data entry and records maintenance.

 

Benefits
