EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - University of Evansville basketball games are returning to 14WFIE for the first time in 10 years.

UE Director of Athletics John Stanley and 14WFIE Vice-President and General Manager Nick Ulmer announced today that three Aces' games will be televised: the regular season opener on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 against Oakland City University, the game at 2010 NCAA Tournament runner-up Butler on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 1:00, and the final men's game in the history of Roberts Stadium, on Saturday, Feb. 26 against Illinois State.

Each game will also be streamed live on the web from the home page of 14wfie.com.

"We are very gratified that our community will be able to see the Aces compete on channel 14 this season during the last season at Roberts Stadium and against Butler University," Stanley said.  "We have had fans ask if this would be possible and thanks to efforts by 14WFIE, we are now able to accommodate that request."

"Our entire staff is excited about continuing the legendary partnership between University of Evansville, Aces Basketball, and 14WFIE," Ulmer stated. "We feel very fortunate to be chosen as the exclusive TV station to broadcast these three games, especially the final Aces' game at Roberts Stadium."

"We are super excited that 14 is doing this," added Head Coach Marty Simmons.  "They were doing our games when I was a player and an assistant coach here, and it's a great thing for our program to have games back on channel 14."

In addition, 14WFIE will air its second season of 'Evansville Basketball With Marty Simmons' on Sunday nights beginning Nov. 14, immediately following an abbreviated version of the 10:00 p.m. news.  Mike Blake will host both the live game telecasts and the weekly coach's show.

Other UE games scheduled for national or regional television this season are Nov. 21 at Indiana on the Big Ten Network, Dec. 8 against North Carolina on ESPNU, Jan. 1 against Indiana State on Fox Sports Net, and Jan. 15 at Illinois State on Fox Sports Net.
