EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Nearly 10,000 people spent their weekend at Angel Mounds for the 28th annual Native American Days.
Those who visited experienced what life was like in pre-historic times with performances, and hands on activities.
Organizers say the event is fun for everyone, but they hope it is also an educational experience.
Educational Program Assistant Corbe Ashby says, "We've got people on sight giving on sight demonstrations about native animals, food and gardening, spear throwing, teaching them all about the culture, first hand."
Several events take place at Angel Mounds all year round.
The historic site is located on Pollack Avenue in Evansville.
