EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Pool players cued up to help find a cure for arthritis.
The Evansville Arthritis Foundation is hosting their annual pool tournament.
It's their biggest fundraiser of the year and runs all weekend long.
There are close to 200 participants, many who suffer from arthritis.
Organizers said there's a reason why they hold pool tournaments instead of walks or big dinners.
"With this event, we reach out to about 500 people we would never touch," Vicki Eichmiller with the Evansville Arthritis Foundation said. "They're not runners, they're not golfers. You wouldn't see the people in here attend galas. It's amazing. They're blue collar workers. They have many forms of arthritis."
Organizers expect to raise $35,000.
That's about on par with years past.
