Taking a Stand: 14Xtra - Tri-State News, Weather & Sports

Taking a Stand: 14Xtra

By Vice-President/General Manager Debbie Bush

We are very happy to announce something new here at 14WFIE!

This week we are kicking off a brand new TV station, 14Xtra.

It's located at 14.2 where it used to be just 24/7 Weather.

On 14xtra, you'll find extra news, weather and more shows from the Tri-State's news leader.

You'll be able to see an extra hour of 14 News Sunrise starting at 7a.m. and an extra showing of "Dr. Oz" at 8 a.m.

Starting at 7 p.m., we'll show you episodes of "Dr. Phil", then "Oprah".

Then, we will have a 9:00 newscast!

In between programming, you can continue to see up-to-date weather information and we'll always have weather information at the bottom of the screen.

So where do you find it?

On your converter box and digital antenna, it's simply 14-2.

If you're an Insight cable customer, it's channel 436.

On WOW it's channel 104.

On Time Warner it's channel 301.

Some cable systems have several different systems, so for a complete guide, check our program schedule on 14xtra.com.

If you are a Dish or DirecTV customer, you don't have to be left behind.

Simply attach a digital antenna to your TV or box and re-scan.

For more details on how to do this, contact your service provider.

We hope you enjoy all three of our channels, 14WFIE, 14Xtra and our movie channel, This TV on 14.3!

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
