EVANSVILLE,IN(WFIE)-Mater Dei standout basketball player Matt Dickerson will play college hoops at the next level. Dickerson, who is 6'8, signed with Marian College of Indianapolis on Thursday afternoon in the school's media center.

"It's a big dream come true for me,"says Dickerson of his college choice. "I went up to Marian on a visit and it seemed like a second home to me. Coach Grimes and Coach Fleming up there, they treated me like it was a family, it's just one big family and that's the one thing I liked about it."

"He played the last 2 years of varsity basketball for us and he's had a lot of success," said his coach Kurt Wildeman. "So we were very happy for him, he's improved each year, and we are looking forward to getting him on to the next level, we think he will be very successful."

Dickerson was a 2nd team All SIAC selection in 2008-2009 and is a two time academic all city selection.
