Two people are sent to the hospital after an accident on Evansville's eastside.

Police say the brakes failed on a car at the intersection of Washington and Evans. The car then T-boned a pickup truck. The two people in the pickup had to be cut from the vehicle and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital and will likely be cited for reckless driving because, police say, she knew the brakes were faulty.
