UPDATE, THU, 9:00 AM: Funeral arrangements are announced, for an Owensboro soldier, killed in Iraq last week.
Private Robert Jason Settle, 25-years-old, died in a roadside bombing.
Settle grew up in McLean County, then moved to Owensboro, just before enlisting in the Army two years ago. He's survived by his parents and five-year-old daughter.
Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro is handling the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 Friday, and from 8:30 until the 10:00 funeral, Saturday morning.

The Department of Defense says 25-year-old Army Private First Class Jason Settle died in Taji, Iraq on April 19th when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations. Settle was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Settle grew up in McLean County, but moved to Owensboro before joining the military in May 2004.
