HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) - Area fire crews battled an overnight fire at a Western Kentucky metal plant.
The fire started around 1:30 a.m. Friday at Audubon Metals in Henderson County.
Fire officials say combustible materials in the plant sparked, then caught fire. Henderson County Fire and Rescue had to use a special dry chemical to put out the flames safely.
Four Audubon Metals workers suffered smoke inhalation and three were treated at the scene and released. A fourth was taken to Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
Officials don't believe any harmful chemicals were released into the air
