EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Sunday, a family fun day was sponsored by Albion Fellows Bacon Center at the beach in Evansville.

The main event was a sand volleyball tournament at Wesselman Park.

About 26-teams showed up to unite against domestic abuse in the community.

"Domestic violence and assault are issues people don't like to talk about," Gina Gist with Albion Fellows Bacon Center said. "It's something they keep secret, they keep it at home. I think this is just Evansville and the surrounding counties showing that it's something that you don't have to be quiet about and showing how much they support victims and survivors."

The event benefited the Albion Fellows Bacon Center.

They expect to raise about $10,000. That's more than last year.
