It will be very humid for the remainder of the week, with scattered showers possible each day. Fall begins on Friday with the Autumnal Equinox. Hurricane Maria still expected to turn north and stay away from the eastern US coast as of today's long-range forecast.

    The last week of summer will bring some of the hottest days this month. Scattered showers and storms will be possible on Tuesday. Highs will climb to near 90 through Thursday, then cool a bit over the weekend. Hurricane Jose will deal a glancing blow to Cape Cod. In the eastern Caribbean, Hurricane Maria will plow through and then into the Bahamas by the end of the week.
