COLTS-REITZ

OL Reitz signs Colts' qualifying offer

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Offensive lineman Joe Reitz has signed his qualifying offer with the Colts.

Reitz was a restricted free agent. The team made the announcement Thursday.

Reitz made three starts in 14 games last season. The Indianapolis area native was originally claimed by the Colts off waivers from Miami on Sept. 8, 2010. He has 20 starts in 34 career games.

PACERS-BYNUM OUT

Pacers coach rules out Bynum for Hawks series

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Top-seeded Indiana won't have Andrew Bynum for its first-round series against Atlanta.

Coach Frank Vogel said Thursday that he believes the Pacers' oft-injured center could still work his way back for the playoffs. But he won't be available for the first round, which opens Saturday in Indianapolis.

The Pacers signed the free agent in early February with hope he would add depth behind All-Star center Roy Hibbert. Bynum looked good in his Pacers debut, finishing with eight points and 10 rebounds. But he hasn't played since March 15 because of a sore right knee.

PLAYOFFS-LONG SHOT HAWKS

No bigger playoff long shot than under-.500 Hawks

ATLANTA (AP) - There's no bigger long shot in the NBA playoffs than the Atlanta Hawks.

Only the 15th team in the last two decades to make the postseason with a losing record, the Hawks get started Saturday against the top seed in the East, the Indiana Pacers.

Good luck with that.

Then again, considering all the Hawks have been through, just making the playoffs for the seventh year in a row was quite a feat. The team has almost totally revamped its roster, broke in a rookie head coach, and lost top player Al Horford for most of the season.

Atlanta went into a terrible slump at the beginning of February, losing 20 of 26. But by winning seven of their last 10, the Hawks slipped into playoffs with that under-.500 mark.

DOSS ARREST

Jaguars WR Tandon Doss arrested in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis police have arrested Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Tandon Doss on a disorderly conduct charge, but he will not be prosecuted.

A police report says the 24-year-old Doss was "out of control" and arrested during a disturbance with another man Wednesday afternoon. The report provided no additional details on the incident. Police spokesman Sgt. Kendale Adams said he also had no details.

Adams said the Marion County Prosecutor's Office declined to file charges.

A telephone message seeking comment was left with Doss' agent, Jared Fox.

Doss was a fourth-round draft pick out of Indiana by the Baltimore Ravens in 2011. Jacksonville signed him as a free agent last month.

Doss attended Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.
