CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Blackhawks are on a 2-game losing streak for the first time in nearly two months They now trail the Detroit Red Wings two games to one following last night's 3-1 defeat. Jonathan Toews' (tayvz) goal drought has reached nine straight playoff games dating back to last season. Game Four is Thursday in Detroit.

CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago White Sox are surging, with five wins in seven games, including last night's 6-1 victory over Boston. They'll face the Red Sox again tonight. Jose Quintana will start for Chicago against another lefthander, Felix Doubront (DOO'-brahnt).

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Adam Wainwright goes for win number 6 of the season as the St. Louis Cardinals continue their series at San Diego. The Padres defeated the Cardinals 4-2 last night and will send Edinson Volquez (VOHL'-kehz) to the hill tonight.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Matt Garza is scheduled to make his first start of the season tonight when the Chicago Cubs play the Pittsburgh Pirates. It's the beginning of an 8-game road trip. Garza missed the end of last season because of an injury and then hurt a back muscle in spring training.
