EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The UE basketball team is hoping to put last year's 9-21 season behind them.

They began the 2010 - 2011 campaign Saturday night with an exhibition game against Division III DePauw.

It was the first game of the final season at Roberts Stadium before the Aces move into the new downtown arena next fall.

Four Tigers hit two or more three-pointers and DePauw ended up 9-for-20 from behind the arc while Evansville connected on only three of 10 threes.

With less than 30 seconds to go, UE trailed by three, but Ned Cox scored and drew a foul.  His free throw missed the mark, however, and DePauw hung on for a 66-62 win.

The Aces are back in action Saturday, November 6 at 7:05, hosting Kentucky Wesleyan for the final exhibition game before opening the regular season with Oakland City on November 13 at Roberts Stadium.
