HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) - Trover Health System in Madisonville is asking you to donate blood this holiday season.
Over the next few weeks, they'll set donation centers around Hopkins County, including the blood bank located in the Regional Medical Center.
All will be open Monday through Friday.
You have to be at least 17 and weight at least 110 pounds.
They said it will take about 10 minutes.
"During the winter months, we normally have a short blood supply because of the holidays, because people travel, they are gone and get busy and getting ready for Christmas, also illnesses with the flu going around that keeps people from being able to donate," Candace Back with Trover Health System said.
List of upcoming blood drives in Hopkins County:
- Dec. 14 — Christ the King Church (4–8 p.m.)
- Dec. 16 — Dawson Springs Community, Clarkdale Court Community Room (2–6 p.m.)
- Dec. 17 — Madisonville YMCA (9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3–7 p.m.)
