Temperatures soared into the lower to middle 90s over the weekend behind strong southwesterly winds. Sunday evening a cold front swept out the heat and humidity and ushered in cooler and less humid air that will bring late September like weather to start the work week. The front kicked out the severe weather threat.
High temperatures today will sink into upper 70s under partly sunny skies. Rare late July breezes up to 20-25 miles an hour can be expected. Scattered thunderstorms will remain out of the forecast until later this week.
