HANCOCK CO., KY (WFIE) - The fiscal court has just been awarded more than $400,000 from the governor to repair several roads in county.
This road in the county is one of eight that will see paving improvements because of the the funds given for vital resurfacing work:
The $434,000 will go towards repaving roads in desperate need.
The judge executive says many of these roads are used as bus routes and are in need of this repair. These roads also serve 20 businesses and four manufacturers.
The Department of Rural and Municipal Aid is working with the county to determine when these projects can get started and completed.
And soon enough people will be able to drive these roads a lot easier to where they’re going.
