Dogs find love and recover after being neglected

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -Three dogs rescued from neglect at a home in Evansville last month are doing much better.

For weeks Olivia, Madison, and Abigail have been fighting for their lives.

“They will overwhelm you with their friendliness. so they despite the problems they have suffered their attitudes and their personalities are excellent,” said Vet Duane Lautner

In March, EPD rescued these fury friends from owners who neglected them.

Olivia had a belly full of fluid and other puppies lost their hair and had skin issues.

“When you come into a home you think about children in bad rough environments dogs are like children they can’t control obviously the environment they’re in,” said Jeremy McCrarey

Officer Jeremy McCrarey was one of the officers who rescued Olivia and now she’s apart of his home as a foster pup

“Whenever we brought Olivia out of the house it was just kind of immediate i don’t know why she just kind of tugged at my heart,” said McCrarey.

Olivia, Madison, and Abigail are all looking for permanent homes, but until then they will continue to stay with their foster parents and receive their treatments.
