Harrison football booster Treasurer accused of stealing $4K

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Treasurer for the Harrison Football Booster is charged with theft and forgery.

Police say the club’s president reported there were several unauthorized transactions made on their account.

In all, the transactions totaled $4,161.83.

Officers say Hillary McCarty was brought in for questioning and admitted to stealing the money.

McCarty was booked over the weekend, and is now out of jail.
