KY Senator sponsoring legislation that would lessen possession penalties of pot

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Republican Senator, Jimmy Higdon of Lebanon, is sponsoring legislation that would lessen penalties for possession of pot.

Violators would face a $100 fine or serve 15 hours of community service.

Possessing marijuana on school property would raise the penalty to a $250 or 30 hours of community service.

Personal use is defined as an once or less of marijuana in plant form.
