EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Aces are in the midst of a six-day break in between games.
This past Sunday, UE pulled off a rousing, comeback victory over Ball State, 89-77.
Their next game is at 1 p.m. Saturday against Jacksonville State at the Ford Center.
In that game, sophomore transfer Devan Straub will be eligible for the first time this season.
Of course, Straub should be familiar to folks in Evansville, as he played for Mater Dei.
As a freshman, he played at Indiana University-Kokomo. With the Cougars, he played in 29 games, averaging over three points a game.
At Mater Dei, he averaged 20 points and 5 rebounds a game his senior year.
He’s best known for his prowess from beyond the three-point arc.
Fans, get ready because the team will look a little different out on the court. Evansville is breaking out the sleeves!
The Aces will wear the short-sleeve jerseys, made popular back in the Arad McCutchan and Jim Crews eras.
It’s a way to pay homage, to the Aces' great teams of the past.
