Flights canceled due to winter storm in Southeast

Southeastern winter storms impacting some Tri-State flights

TRI-STATE (WFIE) - Some flights have been canceled due to the winter storm in the Southeast, mainly North Carolina.

Two flights between Evansville and Charlotte, NC were canceled Monday morning. American Airlnes Flight 5285 to Charlotte was scheduled to leave EVV at 5:29. The other flight, American Airlines 5117, was from Charlotte to Evansville.

Sunday, three flights were canceled at Evansville Regional Airport. Two of those flights were bound for Charlotte, North Carolina, while another canceled flight was heading to Atlanta.

In addition to the canceled departures, two incoming flights from Charlotte to Evansville were canceled. A flight from Atlanta to Evansville also had to be canceled.

The Southeast could see a couple more additional inches of snow and wintry weather on Monday meaning that more flights could be canceled.
