Weekend system shifting south

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A chilly but dry end to the workweek today with high temperatures in the upper 30s to near 40° under partly cloudy skies.

Overnight, our skies will remain partly cloudy as temperatures fall into the low to mid 20s.

The system this weekend continues to trend southward. It is possible the southern edge of the Tri-State could briefly see some wintry mix, sleet or freezing rain Sunday morning, but our chances of getting any meaningful ice accumulation are less than 20%. It looks like most of us will stay completely dry this weekend!

Temperatures will climb into the upper 30s to near 40° Saturday afternoon before falling back into the mid to upper 20s that night. Sunday will be a couple degrees warmer with high temperatures in the lower 40s.

Sunshine returns Monday and Tuesday with high temperatures in the lower 40s. The end of the week is a bit warmer, but rain looks likely.
