Snow caused slide-offs and delays

TRI-STATE (WFIE) - Several slide-offs were reported because of some icy conditions on the roads.

Kentucky officials say the US 60 Green River “Spottsville” Bridge was closed because of a crash, but is now back open.

They also reported a crash blocking US 431 in Muhlenberg County between Drakesboro and Central City. They say it involved a snow plow and pick up truck. The driver of that truck, Kevin Wilson on Lewisport was flown to an Evansville hospital.

In Gibson County, the road is now back open after a semi blocked both lanes of State Road 65 at State Road 64.

Several other slide-offs were reported.

There was also a jack knifed semi on I-64 in Posey County.

In Vanderburgh County, there have been several of slide-offs on I-69 between 57 and Lynch

A semi slid off the road near Baseline. I-69 was shut down there, but the Interstate has reopened.

At 6:30, Eastbound Lynch at Green River was shut down.

Some schools are on a two-hour delay. Others, such as Pike County, have canceled school for Wednesday.

Earlier in the morning, a driver was hurt during a crash in Pike County.
