Ahrens, who had a career record of 144-44 as head football coach at Jasper High School, is stepping down.

JASPER, IN (WFIE) - After 16 seasons, Head Coach Tony Ahrens is retiring from football.

Ahrens, who had a career record of 144-44 as head football coach at Jasper High School, is retiring.

Several of the school’s Twitter accounts thanked the long-time head coach on Sunday for everything he has done for the football program as well as the community of Jasper.

Ahrens will continue as a teacher at the high school.
