Crews battle Henderson fire in difficult weather conditions

HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) - Crews in Henderson were called to battle a house fire in difficult weather conditions.

It broke out on Clay Street around 11:30 Wednesday night.

The house partially collapsed due to the flames and is considered a total loss.

The man living there was not home when the flames were spotted.

No one was hurt.

Neighbors told 14 News Thursday they heard some of the commotion.

“I heard three loud booms, sounded like more of an explosion and then I heard a woman scream. The neighbor called and told us there was smoke rolling above the second story house over there so I stepped out and I saw the smoke and flames inside the house," neighbor Jean Davis said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

If you have information about this blaze, call Henderson Fire department or Crime Stoppers at 270-831-1111.
